May/June 2007
Dear Praying Friends,
Joyce and I have been married for some six weeks now and we are loving it! It has been a pleasure
for each of us to share the ministry together. She is, indeed, a godly lady and I am so happy God has
brought us together. We appreciate so much the overwhelming moral support, the wonderful wedding
gifts, and all the prayers on behalf of our wedding. There were some 225 in attendance and everything
was so beautiful. Joyce especially enjoyed the carriage, which picked her up, brought her to the
church, took us to the reception and finally dropped us off at our van. If you would like, you can view
the wedding pictures online by going to the photographer’s web page at www.idealphoto.com. Then
at the bottom of the page click on Online Ordering, which will bring up a page that says Events. Click
on “Weddings,” which will bring up Alverson/Mullis. The Password is 51807. We ask that you please
continue to pray for us as we have begun this new phase of our lives and ministry together.
God continues to bless the work of Military Missions. Joyce and I just returned from Europe where
we met with many of our missionaries. I sure enjoyed introducing my new wife to them and as I
expected, they seemed to really enjoy getting to know her.
We rejoice that the Mark Lancaster family has now arrived on the field. For the time being they will
be doing an internship in Mannheim, Germany, at the Rhein River Baptist Church. The Harold Pierce
family is moving to Stuggart, Germany, in July to start a new church serving that military community.
The Steve Kissling family will leave for Graffenwohr, Germany, to work with Chuck and Susan Sligh
for a few months. The Van Dyne family (our newest military missionaries) left immediately after
Candidate School for Japan to fill in for the Bob Montieth family as they furlough this summer. Please
pray for all of these as they labor to minister to our military personnel and their families.
We also ask you to pray for the Kevin Byers family, the Joe Passaro family, the Dan Corprew family, the
Bob Ingram family and the Rusty Pilasas family as they continue their deputation ministry. They are
surely needed on the field as soon as they possibly can get there.
On a personal note, I will be having knee surgery on July 11 here in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I
covet your prayers for a complete and quick recovery. May the Lord richly bless you as you continue
to serve Him there in your labor of love. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support of this
ministry. Because of your concern and willingness to labor with us many souls will be in heaven for all
eternity. We love you and remain..
In Christ’s Service,
Jeff & Joyce Alverson
