Dear Friends,

            Words would surely fail me to try to adequately thank you for your kind expressions of love and concern to my family during these past days.  No doubt these have been the most difficult time we have ever faced and you were there with us through our darkest hours.

            Anita, Jon and I have literally been overwhelmed by the outpouring of compassionate love from so very many.  Some sent flowers, others gave money in lieu of flowers, many sent cards of sympathy, many stopped what they were doing and came personally (some from long distances) to pay respects to a great,   lovely and wonderful lady who touched the lives of so many.  Hundreds came to the Visitation in Fort Oglethorpe and still other hundreds came to the viewing and graveside service in SC.  Please know that our hearts were encouraged and uplifted during this time of great grief because of your expressions of concern.  We love you for it and will never forget your kindness.

            How God spoke to many hearts at the funeral through the preaching of Dr. James Kennard, Dr. Tom Lancaster and our pastor, Dr. Earnest Groce and the singing of Mark Lancaster! They honored my dear wife but also honored the Lord Jesus, her Savior.  Many said it was the sweetest funeral service they had ever attended and some rededicated their lives to the Lord as a result of the testimony Jenny left.

            She battled this terrible disease courageously for more than three and a half years and surely fought a good fight against it.  She had a will to live like no one else I have ever known.  However, she was totally committed to the will of God regarding it all.  But now she has finished her course on earth and is rejoicing in the presence of God totally without pain.  We miss her greatly but will meet her in Heaven in God’s appointed time and will be together all in the ceaseless ages of eternity.  Hallelujah!

            Thank you again for your encouragement.  We covet your continued and fervent prayers especially in the immediate days ahead.  We love you and remain..
